Hello! I'm Jules, sometimes Julianna, but usually Jules these days.
I attended Colorado State University hell-bent on studying veterinary medicine and animal behavior and then I changed my mind and decided to be a park ranger and then I changed my mind again and became a good-for-nothing art major. I studied both darkroom and digital arts and graduated with a B.A. in Art Photography in 2013, so now I take pictures.
For five magical summers, I was the camp photographer and assistant program director for Colvig Silver Camps in Durango, Colorado where I lived in a little rustic cabin and hunted for pictures of amazing kids and the fantastic things they were getting up to. Additional duties included falling in large holes and playing in muddy creeks and wrangling lovely horses and throwing dangerous tomahawks.
These days I spend my 9-5 at the Ken Caryl Pet Spa where I meet a lot of really great dogs, all of them photogenic. I have a border collie-ish pup called Camper who may or may not be part coyote. She has a very serious full-time job keeping an eye on rabbits and squirrels.
Take a look through my galleries, book a pet photo session, follow me on instagram, and check out my blog if you like words with your pictures.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I mean it!
Jules
